Oaty Breakfast Jar

There is so much you can do with an Oaty Breakfast Jar! You can always change the ingredients that are in it suit what you fancy having. The combinations are endless and you are always going to look forward to breakfast knowing you have a scrumptious jar of oats in the fridge waiting for you! If you are lacking creativity a bit there are numerous different recipes and combinations online, you can even get an overnight oats jar!


1. Take a glass or a jar and add a serving of rolled oats or basic porridge oats. Fill the glass/jar as much as you feel necessary.
OPTIONAL: add 1 tbsp of chia seeds for some omega-3s and even more protein, highly recommend!
2. Now fill the glass with liquid (of your choice) until the oats are well covered.
Ideas: Soy milk, coconut milk, almond milk, Orange Juice.
(if you have put it in a sealable jar, mix the liquid, oats and chia seed together)
3. It’s time to add your favourite toppings, this can include fruit, butter, seeds etc.
Ideas: almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, flax seeds, chia seeds, berries, banana, cherries, apples, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, nut butter, coconut flakes, greek yoghurt, pretty much whatever suits your fancy! If you're adding the nuts for a bit more texture and crunch add them just before you plan on eating it!
4. This is optional, add your favourite spices!
Ideas: cinnamon, vanilla, cocoa powder, ginger powder etc.
5. Leave it in the fridge (preferably overnight but 4 hours would probably be just fine) and take it out whenever you're going to eat it! If you do want it warm, just pop it in the microwave for a couple minutes and breakfast is done!
