Detox naturally and relax...with magnesium!

Nothing is more relaxing than a nice hot bath, except perhaps one which also detoxes and cleanses the body! Magnesium is wonderful for better sleep, relaxing the nervous system, stronger muscles, bone strength and helps to balance the body's PH (by reducing lactic acid for example!).

Our recipe contains magnesium flakes, baking soda and apple cider vinegar. You can also add your favourite essential oil! Baking soda is a great natrual home remedy for common skin problems and can help neutralize skin acidity and promote elimination of toxins. The Western diet is high in acidity, caffeine, alcohol and medications - baking soda can help! Apple cider vinegar is perfect for those with candida issues and draws excess uric acid out of the body. It is also very helpful for joint problems, arthritus, tendonitis and for those with body odour problems.

Our Perfect Detoxifying Magnesium Bath:

 - 1/2 Cup 'Better You' Magnesium Flakes

 - 1/4 Cup Baking Soda

 - 1/3 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar

 - 10 drops favourite essential oil if desired (we normally use peppermint or lavender)

Dissolve magnesium flakes and baking soda into around 2 pints of boiling water in a jar or bowl. Fill bath with warm/hot water (the hotter the better!) and add the apple cider vinegar. Pour the salt mixture in and add the essential oils if you are using them. That's it! Now relax for 30 minutes or so (or as long as you want!) and enjoy the wonderful benefits of magnesium, apple cider vinegar and baking soda!

One thing worth mentioning: with any detox bath you may feel a bit tired or lightheaded when you get out so bear this in mind!

If you have a strong upper body; this asana can also be very relaxing, aiding in mental detox and releasing stress, fear and sadness!
